Scanning & document intake

1. Does Nectain integrate with document scanning services or accept bulk scanned imports (TIFF, PDF, JPG)?

Yes. Nectain supports:

Integration with external services via API Builder

Direct work with scanners and scan capture

Batch import of scanned documents from external sources and media

Import from email channels

2. What OCR capabilities does Nectain include? Can it integrate with specialized OCR tools?

Built-in OCR capabilities are included to convert scanned documents into searchable text.
Integration with external OCR services is possible using Nectain’s integration tools.

3.Can Nectain process documents from fleets of 5 to 150 A3 and A4 print devices?

Yes. Nectain can process documents captured through fleets ranging from a few devices to large environments with up to 150 or more A3 and A4 multifunction printers and scanners.

Documents can be submitted to Nectain through scan-to-email, shared folders, direct uploads, batch imports, mobile capture, or API integrations. Nectain can then automatically classify, split, extract data from, validate, and route the documents into the required workflows.

Nectain processes the documents produced by the devices rather than managing the printers or scanners themselves. The recommended configuration depends on the device models, document volume, file formats, and current scanning process.

4. How are large-scale bulk document imports handled (e.g., millions of pages)?

Nectain does not impose a limit on the number of pages that can be imported. The primary constraint applies to individual file size, which is limited to up to 200 MB per file.
For larger files, Nectain supports automatic file splitting, allowing oversized documents to be divided into manageable parts during ingestion and processed without manual intervention.

5. Can Nectain validate document quality during ingestion (barcode detection, image quality)?

This functionality can be implemented using AI-based scenarios.

6. Does the system support batch processing for high-volume document workflows?

Batch processing is supported, for example, through business processes and workflows.
Further clarification on specific batch scenarios may be required.
