Exchange

For each document type, settings for exchanging messages with external systems can be configured on the "Exchange" tab. Using switches, you can activate messages to or from external systems. Further exchange settings are done in the "Events" section.

When activating the switch for receiving messages from an external system, an event handler will automatically be created on the "Events" tab: "Receiving document from external system/Correlation." Correlation involves comparing the transmitted document with existing documents based on specified attributes. If one or more attributes are specified in the correlation, the system will search for a document with the same attribute value(s). If such a document is found, the existing document will be updated. If no such document is found, a new document will be inserted. If no attributes are specified in the correlation, the document will be unconditionally inserted.
