In the "Main" block, general information about the document is filled out, consisting of fields presented in the table below
| Field Name | Description |

| Code | Unique identifier of the document type. Text field. |
| Name | Display name of the document type. |
| Description | Brief description of this document type. Possibility to set different values for different localizations. |
| Default Registration Journal | Selection of the registration journal through which document registration is possible. The journal specified in this field will be automatically selected when creating documents of this type. |
| Header Template | Selection of the template used to form the document header. |
Each document type can have its own registration journal. The process of creating journals is described in the "Registration Journal" section.
