Bank “Ukrainian Capital” operates since 1992, offering a full range of banking services and has branches in 8 regions of Ukraine.

The bank’s mission is to provide each client with a comprehensive suite of modern banking services, continuously improve business processes, and enhance service levels.

The Challenge

The bank had implemented the Bank Operating Day (BOD) system “B2”, but this system did not allow for the automation of opening accounts for new clients, so this process was conducted entirely manually, with most data and documents processed and stored on paper.

The process of opening a bank account for new clients was unautomated, conducted in paper form involving the collection, verification, and entry of client data.

Clients had to be physically present at the bank branch to open an account. Client forms and necessary document scans (passport, identification code) were manually signed and stored in paper archives.

The speed of service for individual bank clients was extremely low.

Automate the business process of opening bank accounts for new clients and enable remote online identification and verification of individual clients.

Solution Details

STEP 01 Remote Account Opening with Scriptum

With the new solution built on the Scriptum platform, bank clients can now open a bank account online remotely, without needing to visit a branch.

STEP 02 Comprehensive Verification Process

The account opening process includes a video interview between the bank operator and the client; automatic verification of client data in all necessary registers and databases (Ukrainian Bureau of Credit Histories (UBKI), Debtor Database for Alimony, State Business Registry (EDR), etc.); generation of a new client form (in PDF format); signed electronically on both sides (using digital signature KEI, UEP, BankID) and stored in the system.

STEP 03 Automated Client File Generation

As a result, the bank automatically generates a new client's file in electronic format, containing all client data, the new client form, signed document scans (passport, identification code, etc.), and a history of applications.

STEP 04 Comprehensive System Integration

The developed solution (Bank Client Portal) is integrated with external systems such as NBU Mail, YouScore, BankID, Bank Operating Day (BOD), Ukrainian Bureau of Credit Histories (UBKI), Debtor Database for Alimony, State Business Registry (EDR), and others.

STEP 05 Client Self-Registration

Clients can independently register in the system, enter all their data, and upload document scans.

STEP 06 Electronic Client Archive

The entire client archive is now stored in electronic format.

Ukrainian Capital Bank’s customers can easily open a bank account online. Thanks to this efficient digital service, they no longer have to spend time and energy visiting a physical branch and engaging in slow paper-based processes.

img Instant Online Identification

Identification is much faster and effective thanks to Nectain’s solution. Rather than going through a manual process that takes several days to be effective, clients who have a digital signature or BankID, can complete the identification process online in seconds using an electronic signature. If they do not have a signature or BankID, they can use online video verification.

The process of opening a bank account with Ukrainian Capital Bank is fully automated from beginning to end. Now, clients take a more proactive role, independently registering in the system, entering all their important information, and uploading all relevant scans and documentation.

In addition to automated card processing, Nectain’s solution has also automated card ordering. Hence, through the Card Processing System (IsCard), customers can now easily order bank cards.
